This villa has belonged to a well-known Egyptian family since the late 1900s. They arrived, stayed, traveled, and left. They intended to return so they could renovate and restore their old house while preserving the original Moroccan design upon which it was built. They didn't get to spend much time at this gathering family place, so they wanted a new taste of their stories there. That's where ZAO Designs team role begins.

The upper floor was designed so they could socialize informally during events or parties without drawing attention to themselves. To give the room the vintage feel it was missing, colors were chosen based on those they had in the original home. Nothing else in the house underwent any significant modification, only a modest refurbishing, so the owners may still relive their experience in their home. Only the moldings and flooring tiles were altered as they were damaged due to plumbing problems.

A change in bathroom layout was asked for as the old bathroom was poorly plumbed so changes were made to better improve the circulation and the overall plumbing of the master bathroom.
