Infograph created for MANGA Shonen Jump 《Jujutsu Kaisen》. Its objective is to clarify readers confusion and simplify the storyline.
Background Context
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected in 26 volumes as of April 2024.
With various story arc the manga quickly got populated due to the authors writing and the anime simulated by it between teenagers of all world
Design Rationale
As the manga was always filled with comments that Gege Akutami had explicit writing skills, everything changed when the story arc of "The Culling Games" was released.
Many rules were added, with also Gege's drawing to be all over the place, jumping here and there, causing a complain of it being hard to understand
First Try
I made the poster in a dark theme, to show the pain and suffering the sorcerers are going through, meanwhile listing the rules & the players
Final Progress
The feedback given was still consistent about the location of the players indicator is too messy, hence I went to re-tidy up the infographic to make it cleaner, added a QR code to allow reader easy access to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga website
