ISTD awarded 'The Rhetoric of Ekphrasis' as part of their 2015 Student Assesment. 'Turner X Ruskin' explores the relationship between the painting Slave Ship by artist Joseph Mallord William Turner, and the writings of art critic John Ruskin. The publication is designed in a method that mimics the way in which someone would observe the actual painting, analysing and building up an image in his or her mind, creating a reverse ekphrasis experience.
