The NeoGrotesque
Font Advertising Project for Century Gothic.
The American Type Founders bring youthe NeoGrotesque!
Created by the son of an inventor andlead type designer at the ATF,
Morris Fuller Benton has concocted atypeface built upon the sturdy
foundations of Futura and TwentiethCentury.

Having already made 50 plus typefaces, such as ATF Bodoni, Empire
and Cheltenham, who else would be betterto bring us a fresh new face!

Benton has a mind for machines beingthe son of an inventor which allows
him to form type that has sublimegeometric perfection. The individual characters
themselves serve as asolid foundation for the future of modern san serifs for years tocome.

Its extended x height, even strokewidths and pure geometric simplicity allow for such a variation tostand at equal footing with that of Futura of the Lanston MonotypeCorporation.

Morris Fuller Benton contributes one ofthe most
innovative pieces in typeface history, its name is:

Century Gothic.
A member of a new genrethe font world is calling
the Gothics. Century Gothic will fill all your modern
font needs and much more.

The original concept for the project. I ended up mounting both on foam-core and presenting both. This one shows the full alphabet with numerals while the one below omits them for a slightly different effect.
This is a version with much smaller text. When printed the effect looks much better. The current presentation remains looking like tiny blocks which is also interesting.
